Areias do Seixo Hotel

A magical place less than one hour from Lisbon, Areias do Seixo is a haven in Nature. The pine trees, the dunes, and the sea whisper their secrets in your ear. Feel the originality, comfort and sophistication in a perfect synthesis with the land. Each room confides in you a different story. The restaurant awaits you with a trip of smells, flavors, and colors, taking the benefit of what the land gives us naturally. Open the mysterious door of our SPA and immerse yourself in unique sensations. Return to the origins, with no hurries, in a place where “to feel” is the main verb.

These are the words of passion that the proprietor of Areais do Seixo Hotel uses to describe his new hotel located in less than one hour from Lisbon.  5 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean and those famous sand dunes, anchored in the rubble of ruins found on the land and raised with the inspiring imagination of creative talent, this is an unusual hotel.  The design is contemporary yet warm, the food real, fragrant, delicious.

But artist is, by no means, the sum total of this 42-year-old.  A genius with a brain constantly on the move, his art is in service to a larger dream - that of supporting a community of creatives from diverse disciplines to inspire social change. In 2010, Yellin created Pioneer Works, an independent, not-for-profit cultural and educational resource unlike an other traditional institution.  Located in a large 3-story brick warehouse in the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn, Pioneer Works holds public exhibitions, screenings, concerts, readings, as well as lectures and courses on a range of artistic, scientific, and social topics.  Pioneer also awards multiple no-cost arts and science residencies each year.  " ["post_title"]=> string(23) "Dustin Yellin's Passion" ["post_excerpt"]=> string(0) "" ["post_status"]=> string(7) "publish" ["comment_status"]=> string(4) "open" ["ping_status"]=> string(4) "open" ["post_password"]=> string(0) "" ["post_name"]=> string(22) "dustin-yellins-passion" ["to_ping"]=> string(0) "" ["pinged"]=> string(0) "" ["post_modified"]=> string(19) "2017-07-03 13:53:20" ["post_modified_gmt"]=> string(19) "2017-07-03 17:53:20" ["post_content_filtered"]=> string(0) "" ["post_parent"]=> int(0) ["guid"]=> string(31) "http://lisalindblad.com/?p=8282" ["menu_order"]=> int(0) ["post_type"]=> string(4) "post" ["post_mime_type"]=> string(0) "" ["comment_count"]=> string(1) "0" ["filter"]=> string(3) "raw" } }
