A wonderfully rustic, brick-faced nook serving up unusual and delicious food was the setting for my dinner last night. All those humble foods – kale, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, radishes, even – have been given a makeover that is stunningly good. Deviled Brussels sprouts were one of my favorites. Wrapped in bacon and coated with a sweet glaze, they went down a treat. Green curried monkfish was another, but I went for the Fat Radish vegetable plate which was heaven..beautifully roasted veg, great brown rice..and ordered a side of their truffled fries.
Next time I’ll go for the celery root pot pie which my neighbors were tucking in to and the grilled cheese and pickles which looked crispy and perfect for lunch.
