I was intrigued; my brain began to tick over…
I have a courtyard between my building and its sister building that has racked up one failed garden after one failed basketball court, descending in to a catch-all storage space. And in a city were space is at such a premium! How uncreative…
I cannot stomach supermarket eggs anymore after having found Knoll Crest Farm eggs at the Union Square Farmers Market. A completely different taste. A beautiful egg…
Add one to the other and Jason Stroud comes to mind…a dashing, erudite guy who has a thing for chickens. Or so it seems. He has lived his whole life in cities – LA, Paris and, now, NY – and he has always built coops and raised chickens. With an antiques restoration business, chicken raising was always the avocation.
Not anymore.
Obviously I am not the only New Yorker who dreams of a fresh egg at her fingertips. Jason has been so busy building coops and teaching avian husbandry that he might just toss it all up and settle in to being, quite simply, the Chicken Guy.
